Some Sky customers are facing a frustrating issue with the popular ITVX app. Reports of glitches disrupting viewing experience started surfacing late last week. Users have been voicing complaints about the app randomly skipping to the end of programs without warning. This abrupt jump to the credits occurs even when viewers have not pressed the fast-forward button on their remotes.
On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky expressed frustration, stating that ITV Player frequently skips to the end of episodes, causing inconvenience over the past few days. Another user, Dawn, raised similar concerns, mentioning sudden jumps to the end of programs, sometimes right at the beginning or after ad breaks.
The technical hiccup seems to impact users utilizing Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it remains uncertain if Sky Q users are also affected, most complaints are from individuals using broadband-connected devices rather than satellite dishes.
Although the cause of the issue is not yet known, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the problem and assured users that efforts are underway to resolve it. Kev assured users that the matter has been escalated to support teams who will collaborate with ITV to address the issue. Updates on the progress will be shared as soon as more information becomes available.
For now, users may have to endure the skipping problem, but a solution is hopefully forthcoming. Mirror Online will provide updates on the situation as new developments emerge.
