The London Fire Brigade reported rescuing around 75 people from elevated incidents and cautioned fans against climbing onto rooftops during the revelries. Firefighters also extinguished a fire at a hotel believed to have been caused by a stray flare.
Assistant Commissioner of the London Fire Brigade, Pat Goulbourne, mentioned, “Fortunately, the fire resulted in minimal exterior damage to the building. Pyrotechnics are suspected to have activated fire alarms in multiple locations nearby.”
The club had issued a cautionary note to attendees of the parade, emphasizing the importance of respecting local properties and dwellings. They urged fans to adhere to instructions from stewards, event personnel, and law enforcement throughout the event and cautioned against the use of flares, fireworks, and pyrotechnics, which are strictly prohibited and could lead to legal repercussions.
