A young boy and an adult male were swiftly taken to the hospital with severe injuries following a shooting incident on a residential road in Solihull.
Occurring at approximately 2:30 am today, Monday, June 15, the event took place on Vauxhall Crescent, with law enforcement continuing their investigation to apprehend the perpetrator.
According to a local resident, there were “at least four gunshots heard last night.”
A police forensic tent was erected at the scene while officers meticulously searched for evidence.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Police stated, “We are conducting an inquiry following gunshots being discharged in Vauxhall Crescent, Smith’s Wood, this morning.”
“We received a report of a man and a teenage boy sustaining injuries just before 2:40 am today (15 June).
“Both individuals were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds, with their condition initially deemed critical. Our investigation is in its preliminary phases. We will deploy officers in the vicinity for reassurance patrols.

An ambulance spokesperson mentioned, “We received a call to Vauxhall Crescent, Castle Bromwich at 2:35 am this morning.
“Two paramedic officers, two ambulances, a MERIT trauma team, HART paramedics, and a Critical Care car from The Air Ambulance Service responded to the scene. Both individuals received trauma care for serious injuries.
“They were swiftly transported to the hospital under emergency conditions for further specialized treatment.”
