Iran Blocks Strait of Hormuz Amid US Attacks

Iran has declared that no oil or gas will be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz until the United States ceases its “criminal” attacks. This statement follows consecutive nights of airstrikes by Donald Trump’s forces in Iran, with the aim of loosening Tehran’s control over the waterway.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement emphasizing that as long as the US aggression continues, there will be no export of oil, gas, or chemical fertilizers from the region. Despite claims of two ships hitting mines and exploding in the strait, the US Central Command denied these allegations.

Recent airstrikes by the US targeted military infrastructure, including surveillance sites and weapons storage facilities. Iranian media reported damage to bridges, an electricity plant, and a desalination facility in Jask, affecting thousands of residents.

Footage released by US Central Command showed cruise missiles being launched from a Navy warship, hitting various targets. The US military remains prepared with over 50,000 service members in the Middle East and plans to enforce a naval blockade on Iranian ports.

Reports from Iranian state media indicated explosions in central and southern Iran, with military responses targeting neighboring countries. The escalating conflict has resulted in at least 50 casualties from US strikes since late June, with no signs of a ceasefire.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister announced the suspension of commitments to a previous agreement with the US, citing the need to defend the country. President Trump’s threats of continued strikes, including targeting power plants and bridges, have intensified tensions between the two nations.

The situation remains volatile, with both sides showing resolve in their positions, leading to uncertainty and ongoing military actions in the region.
