“Two US Service Members Killed in Iranian Assault”

Two American service members have lost their lives, and one is currently unaccounted for following recent Iranian missile and drone assaults. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed the fatalities, which occurred in Jordan. The announcement was made at 6:21 pm BST today.

According to CENTCOM, the tragic incident took place on July 17, resulting in the death of two US service members as they and partner forces defended against Iranian missile and drone attacks. Additionally, one service member is currently missing. Four other American service members were evacuated for medical treatment to Jordanian hospitals but have since been discharged.

While some personnel sustained minor injuries and have returned to their duties, CENTCOM has decided to withhold further details, including the identities of the deceased, until 24 hours after notifying their next of kin.

Shortly before CENTCOM’s announcement, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, criticized President Trump’s endorsement of a memorandum of understanding, labeling it as “worthless.” In a statement, Khamenei emphasized the repeated violations of the agreement by the US, highlighting the lack of credibility in the US President’s signature.
