“Traveler Avoids Baggage Fee by Wearing 6 Outfits!”

A woman avoided paying a baggage fee at the airport by wearing multiple layers of clothing from her suitcase. Carla Brunella, 27, managed to fit into six outfits after being informed that her bag exceeded the allowed size for a free personal item.

While traveling from Verona, Italy, to Manchester with Ryanair, Carla was informed that she would need to pay a fee for her oversized hand luggage. Instead of paying the £70 charge, Carla chose to wear as many clothes as possible before passing through security.

Carla, a resident of Spain, humorously mentioned, “When I realized the bag was too big for the sizer, I started laughing. I had a feeling this would happen as I shopped a bit too much in Verona.”

She further explained, “When I went to check in and get my boarding pass, the lady informed me that my personal bag was too large and I had to pay or make it smaller to fit the required measurements. The idea to wear all the clothes came naturally to me.”

Having paid £43 for the flight in May, Carla arrived at the gate wearing six full outfits. She shared, “It was hot and heavy. I felt funny and people were staring at me. I took off the extra clothes as soon as I passed gate control outside of the plane.”

Carla expressed her satisfaction, stating, “I was super happy I didn’t have to pay the fine. I don’t think I’d ever pay the extra fee to check in a bag.” Her video of the incident garnered over 455,000 views, with reactions ranging from admiration to amusement from viewers.
