Three teenagers have been hospitalized following a collision involving a car and a group of individuals in a town center. The incident occurred during an altercation in Skerries, situated in the northern part of County Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday evening. Spectators witnessed the crash on Harbour Road around 9:30 pm, according to GardaĆ.
Video footage indicates that prior to the crash, there were confrontations between rival adolescent groups nearby. The footage shows a group of youths heading towards a white BMW parked with one of its rear doors open on Harbour Road. The car is then observed swiftly reversing for approximately 20 feet before abruptly stopping, as reported by DublinLive. Subsequently, the driver accelerates forward and collides with a group of teens standing at the roadside.
During the collision, at least one individual is seen being propelled into the air upon impact, after which the vehicle quickly leaves the scene. A spokesperson from the Garda confirmed that three teenagers, comprising two females and one male, sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital.
The spokesperson stated, “GardaĆ in Skerries responded to reports of a disturbance on Harbour Road, Skerries on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at around 9:30 pm. A significant number of young people assembled, and an altercation ensued. Subsequently, a car struck several individuals.”
The injured teenagers were taken to Beaumont Hospital for medical care for their non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, with no arrests made at this point.
