Rescuers are currently conducting a search operation in the vicinity of the Welsh coast to locate a man who went missing while embarking on a rock climbing expedition.
A search effort involving a boat and helicopter dispatched by the coastguard is underway to find the missing individual identified as Ben, reportedly hailing from St. Davids.
The search is focused on locating Ben along the Pembrokeshire coast after his family’s last contact with him around noon on Wednesday, as per police reports.
Ben, aged 47, was believed to have set out for rock climbing in either the Carreg y Barcud area near Trelerw or Caer Bwdy Bay outside St. Davids, according to information from Wales Online.
Described by Dyfed-Powys Police as approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, with an athletic physique, short brown/greying hair, and brown eyes, Ben was carrying an orange bag and wearing black climbing shoes with an orange strap when he disappeared.
Authorities urge anyone who may have seen or interacted with Ben since midday on Wednesday to come forward promptly.
