Disgraced royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been keeping a low profile since his arrest in February, choosing to stay within the Sandringham estate to avoid public attention while Thames Valley Police investigate him. However, recent reports suggest that Andrew took a secret trip to France for a relaxing getaway, sponsored by a wealthy Dubai businessman friend. The former prince allegedly enjoyed a luxurious holiday in rural Brittany as an esteemed guest of the UAE horse breeding magnate.
Despite facing controversy, Andrew, aged 66, maintains his innocence. According to a report from the Mail on Sunday, Andrew was allegedly invited by Mohammed A Baker, a sports apparel billionaire, to spend time at his renowned stud farm near St Malo in north-west France at the end of May. Andrew reportedly flew to Dinard Airport from Norwich International on a private jet provided by Mr. Baker, spending three days at the secluded stable complex before returning on June 1.
During his trip, Andrew is said to have engaged in horseback riding on a French beach, partook in boules games in a historic courtyard, and indulged in exquisite meals prepared by a personal chef. Despite efforts to keep the visit discreet, Andrew’s presence in the area became public knowledge among locals, with French racehorse trainer Arthur Desprez confirming his stay at Mr. Baker’s residence.
Details of the trip emerged, revealing a lavish weekend with horse riding activities and culinary delights. Andrew, accompanied by a single bodyguard, enjoyed the comforts of Mohammed Baker’s spacious home, complete with high-quality food and wine. The Mirror has reached out to Andrew’s representatives for comments on the matter.
Shortly after returning from his trip, Andrew was seen with a noticeable bruise on his face while driving around the Sandringham estate. Speculation arose about the cause of the bruise, but sources close to the prince dismissed it as stemming from a minor medical issue.
Andrew’s arrest in February was linked to allegations of sharing confidential information with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during his time as a UK trade envoy in the early 2000s. Thames Valley Police expanded their investigation into Andrew’s alleged misconduct, covering areas of sexual impropriety and corruption, which he vehemently denies.
