An influential proponent of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement in the United States has confessed to physically assaulting a woman at a Tube station following a dispute over a stroller. Melissa Rein Lively, aged 40, reportedly grabbed the woman’s hair forcefully at Bond Street Underground station last October after her boyfriend accidentally bumped into a stroller carrying a child.
Lively agreed to a conditional caution and the charge of assault by beating against her was dropped, as informed to Westminster Magistrates’ Court. Her partner, Philipp Ostermann, who was present during the incident, denied two racially aggravated public order offenses and an additional public order offense. He was granted conditional bail.
During the court proceedings, prosecutor Lyndon Harris mentioned that Ms. Lively had accepted a conditional caution in relation to the accusation against her. Harris stated, “This involved an admission of the alleged behavior and recognition that it constitutes an offense, along with an agreement to pay £910 in compensation.”
