Two British vacationers were assaulted and rendered unconscious in a brutal attack while on a trip to Spain. Law enforcement has apprehended two individuals and is actively seeking other suspects linked to the unprovoked assault that transpired in Magaluf, located on the island of Mallorca.
The victims, aged 30 and 31, were discovered unconscious in close proximity to a nightclub on the lively party avenue. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the injured Britons, including their gender.
The two suspects in custody, both 19 years old, face charges related to causing severe harm. The incident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday when a group of young individuals, including two unidentified persons, allegedly attacked the British tourists, inflicting serious injuries that resulted in unconsciousness.
Following the assault, the Civil Guard initiated an inquiry to identify and apprehend the culprits, who were subsequently found and arrested on Tuesday at a vacation residence in Calvià . The detained individuals are of Swiss descent, and efforts persist to locate and apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the assault.
While the resort has faced issues with fights and antisocial conduct in the past, recent holiday seasons have seen improvements in its reputation.
