“Teacher’s Tragic Murder: Daughter Speaks Out Amid Arrests”

The daughter of a school teacher who was reportedly drugged and fatally assaulted has shared a heartbreaking update following the arrest of four family members. Sunil Sharma, a mathematics educator from Melbourne, Australia, disappeared during a trip to India to supervise property renovations. He went missing on May 22 in Amritsar, Punjab, with Indian authorities suspecting foul play in his disappearance, implicating his brother in a property dispute.

Despite not locating Sunil’s body, four individuals have been apprehended in connection with the case. Indian police allege that Sunil’s brother, Satish Sharma, drugged him with sleeping pills before fatally striking him with a baseball bat. The authorities claim that the victim’s body was disposed of in a canal, with the brother, sister-in-law, and nephew all facing charges related to the incident.

Following the arrests, Sunil’s daughter expressed her emotions on social media, defending her father’s character and emphasizing his unwavering support for his family. She called for justice to be served and condemned the betrayal her family experienced. The daughter also acknowledged the outpouring of support from her father’s school community, highlighting his impact as an educator.

Senior Superintendent of Police in Amritsar, Kanwalpreet Singh, asserted that the brother’s actions were driven by greed and deceit, leading to the tragic outcome. He detailed the sequence of events that unfolded, involving attempts to cover up the crime and engage in fraudulent activities. Another individual, a property dealer, has been detained, with authorities seeking two more suspects linked to the case.

A spokesperson from Victoria’s education department and the school where Sunil worked expressed condolences and praised his dedication to the college community. The message conveyed sympathy for the family, friends, colleagues, and students affected by the devastating loss.
