“Child Tragically Dies Locked in Hot Car During French Heatwave”

Another tragic incident has occurred in France, where a young child lost their life after being trapped inside a car during the country’s intense heatwave. The three-year-old child was discovered deceased by their parents in Saint-Gratien, a town in northern Paris. Emergency services were alerted when the child was found in cardiac arrest inside the family vehicle, with temperatures soaring to 39C in the area. Despite attempts by firefighters to resuscitate the child, their efforts were in vain.

The child had apparently locked themselves inside the car parked in front of their home without informing anyone. His parents had lost sight of him for approximately 45 minutes. Just before he disappeared, he had expressed a desire to take a nap, according to reports. Although his parents instructed him to go to his room, he chose to lock himself in the car for unknown reasons.

After realizing the child was missing, his parents began searching for him and ultimately found him lifeless in the parked car outside their house. The mother’s distress cries caught the attention of a passing bus driver, who immediately leaped into action, providing first aid until emergency services arrived.

This tragic incident follows a similar heartbreaking event where two children, aged two and four, were discovered unresponsive inside a car during the scorching heatwave in France. Despite rescue efforts, both children passed away, leading to a manslaughter investigation. Europe is currently grappling with an intense heatwave, marked by record-breaking temperatures and severe consequences in various countries.

In France alone, at least 48 individuals have died from drowning while seeking relief from the heatwave. Additionally, a 79-year-old man in Saint-Gratien was found in cardiac arrest at his residence, potentially linked to the extreme temperatures, and unfortunately could not be revived.
