“Tragic Deaths of Boys Found in Hot Car on Cyprus Island”

Two young boys have tragically lost their lives after reportedly being left inside a car to sleep on an island popular for holidays. The unfortunate incident occurred in the British base of Dhekelia in Cyprus. The children, aged eight and ten and of Bulgarian descent, were found lifeless inside the vehicle parked in a field near a residential area.

According to medical experts, the boys suffered severe muscle stiffness and sunburn due to prolonged exposure to the scorching sun. Authorities have taken the children’s father and stepmother into custody on suspicion of negligence related to the tragic event.

Local law enforcement, supported by British bases personnel, is conducting investigations at a residence in Xylophagou to determine the circumstances leading to the boys’ deaths. While the exact cause of death is yet to be officially confirmed, preliminary assessments suggest signs indicative of asphyxiation.

Forensic examinations will be conducted to establish the precise cause of the tragic incident. This heartbreaking event unfolds amidst soaring temperatures in Europe, with several similar cases reported during the recent heatwave. In France, an 18-month-old toddler perished after being inadvertently left in a car, succumbing to hyperthermia. Additionally, a mother in France is facing charges of manslaughter following the deaths of her four-year-old daughter and two-year-old son, who were forgotten in a locked car.
