A British man passed away after collapsing at a Greek hospital where he had brought his unwell wife for medical care. The 55-year-old tourist and his wife were on vacation in Kalavryta, Achaea, in southern Greece when she suddenly fell ill and needed urgent attention. He drove her to Kalavryta Hospital, where medical staff provided initial aid to her as she rested on a bed. Tragically, the man collapsed while standing by her side, prompting doctors and nurses to administer CPR in an attempt to save him. Despite their efforts, he was declared dead shortly after the incident.
The cause of the man’s death remains undetermined, as reported by the local Athens newspaper. Authorities will conduct an autopsy in the coming days to determine the circumstances surrounding his passing. Concurrently, the police in Kalavryta have initiated a preliminary inquiry into the matter.
Fortunately, the woman has been discharged from the hospital following brief treatment for her ailment.
