A man is accused of killing his young son’s speech therapist by slitting his throat after discovering the child without a diaper during a session. The 24-year-old father turned himself in to police in Valencia, Spain, last Monday with blood on his hands and was promptly arrested.
According to reports, he admitted to assaulting the 32-year-old victim after leaving his two-year-old son momentarily to smoke outside, only to return and find the child undressed. The suspect, identified locally as David G.S, initiated a physical altercation with the speech therapist when he refused to show him surveillance footage from his clinic.
Subsequently, the man fatally wounded the therapist with a knife he had in his possession, resulting in the victim’s death at the facility the following day. Witnesses recalled hearing the perpetrator threaten the therapist before the tragic incident.
Following the crime, the suspect drove home before surrendering to authorities. Police discovered the victim’s body at the clinic after the confession, initiating forensic investigations. The victim’s body was later transported to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Valencia for an autopsy.
The suspect’s judicial proceedings are pending, with a probable remand to a local prison expected after a closed-court hearing, as is customary in Spain.
