A Liverpool man was taken into custody following an incident where a taxi collided with a residence on Asbridge Street in Toxteth. The crash, which occurred at approximately 6.45 am on Tuesday, was characterized by residents hearing two loud bangs.
Law enforcement officers responded to the scene and determined that the driver of the taxi, identified as a 40-year-old male, was allegedly engaged in a dispute with another motorist before the collision. The other driver reportedly fled the area.
The suspect was apprehended on charges of affray and criminal damage and is currently under police detention. Authorities are conducting a preliminary investigation to ascertain the events leading up to the crash and are seeking to interview the driver who left the scene.
