Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are enjoying their summer break away from studies. However, their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, have assigned tasks to keep the youngsters productive during this time.
The children were given responsibilities during a previous school break, as shared by Kate during a visit to Wales in 2022. George was tasked with moving animal feed at the family’s residence in Norfolk on the Sandringham estate.
While visiting a goat farm with Prince William, Kate mentioned George’s role in moving feed on the estate. William also highlighted a robot silage sweeper to the farmer, who explained its potential to shift feed. Kate mentioned, “That was George’s job at half term – moving feed.”
William informed their host that his children were actively participating on the farm at Sandringham, where efforts are being made to transition the estate into a fully organic operation, including exploring Agroforestry.
Royal expert Jennie Bond highlighted the challenge faced by parents regarding screen time for children during the summer break. William and Kate emphasize the importance of outdoor activities and have not allowed their children to have mobile phones.
Jennie noted that William has mentioned George’s interest in video games and their efforts to regulate screen time. She also speculated that Kate and William might assign simple chores to the children during the holidays, emphasizing the importance of teaching respect and responsibility, regardless of royal status.
