Princess Eugenie recently took to social media to celebrate her son Ernest’s third birthday with a heartfelt post. The post featured various snapshots of Ernest, affectionately known as ‘Ernie,’ engaging in activities like playing football, holding hands with his older brother August, and playing with balloons. Eugenie included a touching caption honoring Ernie as her “fearless golden boy” who lights up every room with his infectious smile.
The post garnered numerous well-wishes from supporters congratulating the young royal on his special day. Born in 2023, Ernie was initially 13th in line to the throne and now occupies the 14th spot, with August currently holding the 13th position.
Additionally, Buckingham Palace recently announced that Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are expecting their third child, due to arrive this summer. The royal family, including King, August, and Ernie, expressed excitement about welcoming a new member into their family. The upcoming baby, who will not hold the title of HRH, will be born as the 15th in line to the throne, with the late Duke of Edinburgh moving down to 16th place.
The baby will be the 15th great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II, marking the third great-grandchild born since her passing in 2022. Furthermore, the new addition will be the fifth grandchild of the former Duke and Duchess of York, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, following the birth of Princess Beatrice’s daughter Athena Mapelli Mozzi in January last year.
Despite ongoing controversies surrounding Princess Eugenie’s father, Buckingham Palace’s public announcement of the pregnancy is seen as a supportive gesture towards Eugenie. The palace’s statement reflects positivity, emphasizing the family’s joy over the forthcoming arrival.
Amidst the public scrutiny, Eugenie and her sister Beatrice have faced challenges due to their association with the Epstein files. Nevertheless, the royal family continues to celebrate joyous occasions, with Eugenie recently sharing a glimpse of her husband’s 40th birthday celebrations on social media. Mr. Brooksbank and Princess Eugenie tied the knot in a grand ceremony at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in October 2018.
