An individual known for his athletic abilities and online presence, boasting over 11 million subscribers, has been spared imprisonment after admitting to creating and possessing close to 3,000 explicit images involving children. Callum Powell, who started practicing Parkour in 2006 and later joined the popular STORROR group in 2010, has faced legal consequences for his actions related to child abuse imagery.
Despite his contributions to STORROR’s significant social media following and involvement in notable film projects like Netflix’s 6 Underground, Powell’s career took a dark turn when authorities discovered a large number of illicit files on his electronic devices following a police raid in June 2025. The seized materials included Category A images, the most severe classification for child abuse imagery, among others.
Following his guilty plea, Powell received a one-year suspended prison sentence at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on July 1. The court proceedings revealed that Powell initially denied intentionally seeking out such images for personal gratification, attributing their presence to an AI software program. However, he later confessed to deriving sexual pleasure from the illegal content, prompting his guilty plea and subsequent sentencing.
District Judge Amanda Kelly emphasized the seriousness of Powell’s offenses, noting the presence of various categories of indecent images in his possession. The judge highlighted the legal guidelines that informed the decision to suspend Powell’s prison term for 12 months, in addition to imposing registration on the Sex Offenders Register and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years.
Moreover, the court mandated the forfeiture of Powell’s devices containing the illegal images and imposed financial penalties on him. STORROR, the collective from which Powell was expelled after his crimes came to light, expressed remorse for the harm caused and reiterated its commitment to supporting and inspiring youth. Parkour UK, an organization unrelated to Powell, condemned his actions and emphasized the importance of safeguarding within the sport.
The fallout from Powell’s criminal activities has not only had legal repercussions but has also led to his removal from STORROR and tarnished his reputation in the Parkour community. Despite his past achievements and international recognition, Powell’s actions have had far-reaching consequences, prompting introspection within the sports and online communities he was once a part of.
