“Tragic Death of Young Mother Stuns Community”

The family of a 24-year-old woman who was tragically killed in her residence has expressed heartfelt condolences for the young mother. Kirandeep Kaur, originally hailing from India, met a fatal attack in her home located in Hayes.

A man has been accused of Kaur’s murder. Her sister Gursharan, speaking through a translator from the Majha region of Punjab, India, shared with the BBC that her sibling meant ‘everything’ to her.

Gursharan, aged 21, mentioned that her sister had moved to London in search of better job opportunities to support their family.

To assist with funeral arrangements, a GoFundMe campaign has been initiated.

The fundraising appeal states: “Kirandeep Kaur, a 24-year-old student from Punjab, India, arrived in the UK with aspirations of securing a brighter future for herself and her family back home.

“Kirandeep’s untimely demise has left her infant child without a mother and her relatives in India devastated, grappling with sorrow and significant financial obligations incurred to back her aspirations.

“Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall is rallying the local community to provide practical and financial aid during this unprecedented period.”

Daniel Sean James, aged 46, allegedly assaulted Kirandeep Kaur in her residence in Hayes, west London, on the morning of July 12, as reported by The Mirror.

Following the incident, James purportedly leaped out of a window, fracturing both ankles, before being apprehended by the police in close proximity, as detailed in the Old Bailey court.

Prior to the attack, James was allegedly observed walking through a playing field in Hayes clad in all black and carrying a large knife.

CCTV footage and doorbell cameras reportedly captured him approaching different addresses before allegedly stabbing a man in his 20s from behind on the street.

Shortly thereafter, at approximately 7:51 am, he purportedly forcefully entered the residence shared by Mrs. Kaur, her husband, and their three-month-old baby, while they were asleep.

Mrs. Kaur’s husband woke up to his wife’s scream and witnessed a figure leaving their bedroom, according to prosecutor Charlene Sumnall.

Minutes later, James exited the property by jumping out of a window from the kitchen-living room area onto Uxbridge Road, the court was informed.

Despite sustaining dual ankle fractures, he purportedly attempted to escape but collapsed after a brief distance.

The court was informed that it took approximately 24 minutes from the initial sighting of James until the police arrived at the scene.

Mrs. Kaur sustained a fatal stab wound to her chest and was declared deceased at 8:26 am.

Both victims were reportedly unknown to James, who received medical treatment before being taken into custody.

Subsequently, he was charged with the murder of Mrs. Kaur, attempted murder, and possession of a blade.

James appeared via videolink from Wormwood Scrubs at Court One of the Old Bailey on Thursday, where Judge Nigel Lickley KC scheduled a plea hearing for October 1 and a provisional three-week trial starting from April 5 next year.

James only confirmed his identity during the hearing and was remanded into custody.
