Five individuals were swiftly transported to the hospital following a significant emergency event at a bustling retail park in North Wales. The scene at Mostyn Champneys retail park in Llandudno saw a flurry of police cars, ambulances, rapid response units, and two air ambulances in attendance.
Authorities set up a police cordon around the McDonald’s restaurant on the premises as emergency teams mobilized in the vicinity. The Welsh Ambulance Service later verified that five casualties were treated on-site and subsequently taken to the hospital post the incident.
A spokesperson from the ambulance service stated, “We responded to a call at 10:52 today for an incident at Mostyn Champneys Retail Park, Llandudno. Our team dispatched one Cymru High Acuity Response Unit, one Duty Operations Manager, and three emergency ambulances to the location.”
“Advanced critical care was provided by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service using two Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopters. Five patients were transported via road to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.”
North Wales Police confirmed the event as a “multi-vehicle collision.” A spokesperson mentioned, “We are seeking witnesses following a road traffic collision at Mostyn Champneys, Llandudno today (18/07/2026).”
“Shortly after 10:50 am, we received multiple reports of a multi-vehicle collision involving pedestrians. The driver of one vehicle and several pedestrians were taken to the hospital for further evaluation.”
