The lifeless body of a model who had gone missing was discovered in a reservoir after she vanished following a fashion event.
Jessica Jarikre, also known as Jessica J, triggered a search operation by emergency services after disappearing upon her return to Wrocław, Poland. The 24-year-old model and singer was last sighted around 9pm, returning to her apartment, prompting her family to raise concerns when they couldn’t reach her.
Investigations by the police revealed that she departed without her phone or any identification. Descriptions of Jessica highlighted her height, 5ft 7in, slim physique, and distinct tattoos on her left forearm and abdomen.
Her social media presence showcased not just modeling images but also videos of her singing performances. Wrocław Fashion Week, where Jessica had recently graced the catwalk, shared the missing person appeal on social media.
In a sorrowful update post on Facebook following the grim discovery of her body, it was stated: “There are moments and emotions that are extremely difficult to put into words. It is with great sadness that we accepted the news of the death of Jessica – a long-time model of Wrocław Fashion Week.”
Authorities recovered her body from a reservoir close to her residence, with the Water Rescue Service confirming the retrieval. The Wrocław Police announced the tragic conclusion of the search for the 24-year-old woman but provided no further details.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding her demise has been initiated, with any third-party involvement preliminarily ruled out.
