“Massive Industrial Fire Near Dublin Airport Emergency Response Underway”

A massive fire has erupted at an industrial site close to Dublin Airport, prompting numerous fire crews to race to the scene. Dublin Fire Brigade has advised residents in the Wimbletown area of Balyboughal to shut all windows and doors due to a large plume of smoke spreading across the vicinity, visible from miles away.

The fire department stated that they are aware of the industrial fire in Wimbletown, Balyboughal, and have dispatched five fire engines, including a water tanker, to the location. Emergency responders are already on-site addressing the blaze. Additionally, another fire has been reported in Ashtown to the North West of the city, with LiveDrive in Dublin cautioning the public about the situation.

Despite the Ballyboughal fire being approximately 10km (around 6 miles) away, operations at Dublin Airport remain unaffected. AirNav Ireland, responsible for air traffic control, has informed pilots to be vigilant of the smoke plume during landings but emphasized that airport operations have not been disrupted thus far.

Several individuals have shared images of a massive smoke column emanating from the fire near Dublin Airport on social media platforms. Dublin Fire Brigade has urgently advised residents near the fire to secure their homes by closing all windows and doors as a precautionary measure against the smoke.
