A young man has come forward with a report of being sexually assaulted by a stranger at the parking lot of a nature reserve in Berkshire. The incident occurred at Padworth Common Nature Reserve around 6:30 pm on July 9, when the victim was approached from behind by an unidentified individual.
According to Thames Valley Police, the alleged perpetrator not only assaulted the victim but also took £50 from his pocket during the assault. The victim is currently receiving support from trained officers.
The suspect, described as a man with a local accent wearing white shoes, remains unidentified. Detective Inspector Beverley Pearse, heading the investigation, stated that the case is being thoroughly investigated. Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward.
In particular, motorists with dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the incident are asked to provide any potential evidence. Police are also interested in hearing from individuals who may have seen a red vehicle in the vicinity during the same period.
