Man critical after fall in Salford; arrests made

In the early hours of Wednesday, June 17, a man in his 30s suffered severe injuries consistent with a fall from a height at Adelphi Court in Salford’s Blackfriars area. Police responded to the incident on Cannon Street around 1:10 am and found the man in critical condition. He was immediately transported to the hospital, where he is currently fighting for his life.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesperson stated that a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possession of Class A drugs in connection with the incident. Additionally, a 43-year-old man was also apprehended for suspected assault causing GBH and possession of an offensive weapon. Both individuals are in police custody as the investigation continues to determine the circumstances surrounding the event.
