A magician named Daniel Hidden, 26, mysteriously disappeared while driving away from his residence in Queensland, Australia, early in the morning. He was last spotted on June 14 heading towards the Springbook region in his silver Hyundai towing a caravan. Despite friends’ reports, he has not been seen for over a week.
Authorities have initiated an extensive search effort for Daniel, who turned off his phone at 6 am on the day he went missing. Described as a 26-year-old with long black hair, a black beard, and brown eyes, he was last seen wearing a maroon top and black cargo pants.
A joint search operation involving the police, firefighters, and volunteers has been underway in the vast Springbook area. After two days of searching, his silver Hyundai Santa Fe and Galaxy caravan were located by the police near Currumbin Creek Rd, several miles south of his Gold Coast residence.
The search has expanded to the Currumbin valley area within the remote section of Springbook National Park. Due to the challenging terrain and vast search area, emergency services have enlisted support from the Australian Defence Force (ADF) alongside aerial assets like drones and police resources.
Authorities have expressed that Daniel’s disappearance is unusual. Notably, his website carries a message stating, “Transformation requires disappearance,” although it is not believed to be linked to his vanishing.
In a separate incident, the grandparent of a four-year-old boy named Gus Lamont, who went missing in the Australian Outback almost a year ago, has addressed the situation. Little Gus was last seen playing near his family’s sheep station, Oak Park Station, and has remained missing despite extensive searches on the South Australian farm.
Speaking out for the first time, grandparent Josie Murray denied any involvement in her grandson’s disappearance, despite being a suspect in the police investigation. She expressed disbelief at the theory that she might have hidden Gus’ accidental death by burying him.
