“Inquiry Launched Into Leak of Celeste Rivas Hernandez Info”

An inquiry is underway into over a dozen workers at a medical examiner’s office in the United States regarding the disclosure of sensitive information related to the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

Sources familiar with the situation have revealed that investigators and employees at the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Department are being summoned for formal interviews to ascertain if they accessed investigative records without proper authorization.

Following concerns that certain details about the teenager’s demise were publicized in the media before the official release of the autopsy report, an investigation was initiated by the Los Angeles Department of Human Resources.

In September 2025, Celeste’s body was discovered inside a Tesla vehicle registered to musician David A Burke, known as D4vd. Burke, aged 21, was subsequently arrested and accused of murdering Rivas Hernandez in April. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges of first-degree murder and others.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Burke had an inappropriate relationship with Rivas Hernandez, starting when she was 11 and he was 18. Allegedly, he killed her when she threatened to expose their illicit connection.

Prosecutors claim that Burke fatally stabbed Rivas Hernandez multiple times and dismembered her body with chainsaws in his garage. Her remains were so severely damaged that identification was initially challenging.

An autopsy report determined that her cause of death was due to “multiple penetrating stabbing injuries” inflicted by a sharp object. She was identified by a unique tattoo on her right index finger bearing the word “Shhh…”

Burke also bears a similar tattoo on one of his fingers.

During a previous court session, prosecutors alleged that Burke had a substantial amount of child sexual abuse material on his mobile device.

Although the medical examiner’s office declined to comment on ongoing investigations, the union representing the office’s investigators confirmed that some members had been notified about the inquiry.

The union emphasized the importance of a fair and unbiased investigation, urging patience in allowing the process to unfold before drawing conclusions.

SEIU 721, representing additional staff at the medical examiner’s office, expressed a commitment to preserving the privacy of all victims without disclosing details of the current investigation.

Burke’s legal team asserts their dedication to vigorously defending his innocence, confident that the evidence will demonstrate his non-involvement in Celeste’s death.
