“Injuries and Chaos: Ryanair Flight Passengers Thrown Into Ceiling”

Passengers aboard a Ryanair flight heading to the UK feared for their lives as they were violently thrown into the plane’s ceiling during turbulent mid-air conditions. The incident occurred on Ryanair flight FR 9887, originally scheduled to depart from Alicante at 4:35 pm on July 10 and land at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

Due to the extreme turbulence causing several injuries, the aircraft was forced to divert to Nantes, France, as confirmed by the airline. One passenger recounted how the flight eventually took off at 6:05 pm, leading to a chaotic situation where passengers and cabin crew were thrust into the ceiling, resulting in screams and tears.

The passenger described the terrifying experience of sudden drops and chaos inside the cabin, with people holding onto each other to prevent hitting the roof. The situation was so intense that many feared for their lives, with drinks splattered on the ceiling and passengers covered in coffee.

Upon landing in Nantes, paramedics attended to the injured passengers, including one individual placed on a stretcher due to impact with the roof. The severity of the turbulence also led to injuries among the cabin crew, with one air hostess taken to the hospital for a knee injury.

After a delay, passengers were eventually transferred to another aircraft to continue their journey to Liverpool. A Ryanair spokesperson confirmed the turbulence incident on flight FR9887 and mentioned that a replacement aircraft was arranged for the remaining journey to Liverpool at 12:20 am local time.
