A man has been accused of committing a double homicide following the discovery of two deceased individuals at a residence in East Sussex. The suspect, a 58-year-old individual named Sean Gray, was apprehended after the bodies of Adrian Horton, aged 66, and Uschi Schild, aged 46, were found in the early morning hours of Tuesday at a property on Seven Acre Close in St Leonards-on-Sea.
Law enforcement responded to the scene following reports of an injured man and woman at the location. The arrest of Gray took place at an address on Battle Road. Gray, who does not have a fixed address, is scheduled to appear in Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Detective Superintendent Jay Mendis-Gunasekera expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased, emphasizing the ongoing investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident. It is believed that both the suspect and victims were acquainted, and no additional suspects are being pursued at this time.
Authorities are conducting inquiries at the residence and its vicinity, with an increased police presence to support the ongoing investigation.
