A family has released a touching tribute for a devoted mother who brought joy wherever she went as authorities investigate her passing. Hannah Fry, aged 29, fell ill at a residence on Meadow Croft in Longridge, Lancashire, on July 13 while police were present at the location. Despite immediate medical attention, she could not be saved.
Lancashire Police disclosed that a 31-year-old man was initially arrested on suspicion of coercive behavior and later on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the incident. He has been released on bail as the inquiry progresses. Another individual was also taken into custody and later bailed, according to the police.
Expressing their grief, Hannah’s parents, Kevin and Sarah Harcup, described her as an irreplaceable treasure. They conveyed, “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden and tragic loss of our dear daughter, Hannah Eidann Fry, on Monday, July 13th. Hannah, our enchanting and only daughter, was the center of our lives and the love in our hearts.”
They continued, “A devoted mother to her two beloved daughters, a cherished daughter, granddaughter, sister, and a loyal, affectionate friend to many, Hannah will be forever remembered for her quirky humor, contagious laughter, and her ability to brighten any room she entered.”
The police spokesperson stated, “The circumstances surrounding Hannah’s death are currently under investigation. A 31-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of coercive behavior and manslaughter following inquiries into her passing. He has been released on bail with conditions as we continue our investigations.”
“A 23-year-old male was also arrested in connection with the initial incident that led to police intervention on July 13. He has been bailed with conditions pending further inquiries.”
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has been notified as per protocol, and further details will be provided in due course.
