“UK Heatwave Returns: Temperatures Soar to 36C Next Week”

Another heatwave is expected next week, with temperatures possibly reaching as high as 36C. The GFS weather model indicates that temperatures may exceed 30C on Sunday, reaching 32C in southern and eastern England and 30-31C in central regions.

By Monday, temperatures could soar to 36C in western and southern-central England, with the Midlands hitting 35C, Wales reaching 34C, and Yorkshire potentially seeing highs of 32C. On Tuesday, temperatures may hit 36C in East Anglia, with Lincolnshire and Yorkshire reaching 33C, the Midlands and southeast at 34C, and Wales at 30C.

Scotland and Northern Ireland are expected to remain cooler with temperatures in the mid-20s or lower. Throughout the week, England is forecasted to experience temperatures of at least 30C daily until Sunday, with highs of 34C anticipated in the south on Wednesday, 33C on Thursday, and 30-31C on Friday and Saturday.

Temperature anomaly maps highlight England and Wales in dark red, indicating temperatures well above the seasonal average. The data suggests that 10 English counties may witness temperatures hitting 36C.

Looking ahead to August 8-17, the Met Office forecasts above-average temperatures, particularly in southern regions, although possibly not as extreme as recent weeks. There is also a possibility of thundery spells in some areas, with variable rainfall amounts expected.
