A beloved family pet, a French poodle named Beyli, was discovered alive after being trapped under debris for nearly a month following a destructive earthquake in Venezuela. Beyli was found in the ruins of an apartment building in La Guaira, where the family resided.
Jairo Rengel and his daughter, Victoria Isabela Rengel, were overseeing cleanup efforts at the collapsed site when Beyli was found next to Victoria’s deceased mother and grandmother. Rescuers from Topos Orientales A.C. located the poodle during their search and rescue operations.
After 29 days under the rubble, Beyli was rescued and found dehydrated but alive. Victoria expressed gratitude on TikTok for the rescue team’s efforts, highlighting the miraculous survival of her pet amid the tragedy that claimed her family members’ lives.
