“Former Royal Aide Shares Insight on Feuding Princes”

A former royal aide who previously worked closely with both Prince William and Prince Harry has shared his perspective on whether the feuding brothers can reconcile their differences.

Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton served as the principal private secretary for the two princes from 2005 to 2013, forming close bonds with them during their early 20s. He was instrumental in guiding them through their military careers, with Prince William even appointing him as one of Prince George’s godparents and involving him in Sentebale, a charity honoring Princess Diana.

Despite Lowther-Pinkerton’s positive interactions with the princes, they have since become estranged following a family dispute that reportedly began around the time of their grandmother, the Queen’s, passing almost four years ago.

In an interview with The Times, the former aide, who has since become a novelist, cautiously avoided discussing the possibility of reconciliation between the brothers. However, he expressed his admiration for Prince Harry, whom he described as having admirable qualities, and emphasized his optimistic outlook.

Reflecting on the differences between the princes, Lowther-Pinkerton characterized William as the ‘Lion King’ and Harry as a ‘mischievous cub,’ affirming his affection for both individuals.

Amidst speculations, sources suggest that Harry and Meghan may meet with King Charles, with whom Harry also has a strained relationship, during their upcoming visit to the UK. The Sussexes have reportedly been offered accommodations at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle but have not yet confirmed their acceptance.

The couple’s children, Archie and Lilibet, last saw their grandfather Charles during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee festivities in 2022. As preparations for the UK visit unfold, uncertainties remain about whether Harry and Meghan, or Harry alone, will seek to engage with the Prince and Princess of Wales, given the strained nature of their relationship in recent times.

The rift between the royal family and Harry and Meghan escalated following accusations of racism during an interview with Oprah Winfrey in April 2021. Harry’s upcoming memoir is expected to delve further into family dynamics, with sources close to William refuting claims of any violent altercations.

As Harry prepares for engagements in the UK, including the Invictus event in Birmingham alongside Meghan, the royal family dynamics continue to be under scrutiny.
