“Lufthansa Dreamliner Mishap Injures Employees”

A Lufthansa Boeing Dreamliner bound for Los Angeles experienced a sudden descent onto the runway at Frankfurt Airport. Multiple Lufthansa employees sustained injuries during the incident at Germany’s primary airport. The airline confirmed that a mishap involving a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner occurred at approximately 12:45 pm CEST (11:45 am BST) today.

According to a spokesperson for the airline, the nose landing gear of the aircraft unexpectedly collapsed while it was parked. Crew members and ground staff were present at the time of the occurrence, with no passengers on board. Several injured employees are currently undergoing medical treatment.

The scheduled flight LH450 from Frankfurt to Los Angeles, set to depart at 1:50 pm CEST (12:50 pm BST) today, was canceled following the incident. The Dreamliner with registration D-ABPQ suffered significant damage when it nosedived onto the runway while stationed at the gate, as reported by Frankfurter Rundschau.

Authorities are investigating the incident, with technicians and support personnel reportedly at the scene. Lufthansa has acknowledged the occurrence of the incident at Frankfurt Airport, the largest airport in Germany, around 12:45 pm CEST (11:45 am BST).

A spokesperson informed the dpa news agency that the aircraft’s nose landing gear unexpectedly folded while parked. The affected flight was LH450, destined for Los Angeles.

The spokesperson added, “At the time of the incident, crew and ground staff were on board. Passengers had not yet boarded. Several employees were injured and are currently receiving medical treatment.”
