A 17-year-old girl was stabbed in the neck in Lancashire, prompting a response from armed police officers on Wood Street in Brierfield, Lancashire, just after 3 pm on Friday. Following the incident, a 30-year-old man was swiftly apprehended on suspicion of attempted murder.
According to a spokesperson from Lancashire Police, the authorities received a report of a stabbing at 3:06 pm at Wood Street, Brierfield, involving a 17-year-old girl who sustained a neck injury from the assault. Law enforcement officers, including armed personnel, arrived at the scene, leading to the prompt arrest of the 30-year-old suspect for attempted murder.
The injured girl was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment of a stab wound in the back of her neck. In response to the incident, additional patrols are scheduled in the area to offer reassurance to the local community.
