A woman suffered severe burns when a violent individual poured a scalding mixture of sugar and water onto her stomach, a day after threatening to set her on fire with fuel. Khaled Aziz, wearing a distinctive mask, verbally attacked the woman at her residence before returning with a fuel-like substance, dousing her, and threatening to ignite it. The next day, Aziz visited the woman again, boiling sugar water and pouring it on her stomach, causing first-degree burns. The victim required hospitalization for treatment.
In a subsequent incident, Aziz invaded the woman’s home while she slept, burning her back with straighteners and issuing death threats. The victim expressed enduring physical, emotional, and practical repercussions from the attacks, impacting her daily life significantly. Aziz was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison for assault causing bodily harm and received a 12-year restraining order. Despite a troubled background and history of criminal behavior, Aziz has shown cooperation while in custody.
