“Trump Vows Retaliation Against Iran After US Base Attacks”

US President Donald Trump expressed strong aggression towards Iran following recent attacks on US bases in the Middle East. In response to missile firings by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Trump vowed to retaliate forcefully, stating, “We’re going to beat them hard. They’re going to get a beating.”

The IRGC claimed responsibility for targeting a US base in Jordan with ballistic missiles, which were successfully intercepted by US defenses. This incident occurred shortly after a meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump in Washington.

According to US Centcom, the missile attack originated from Iran and was aimed at US forces in the Middle East. In a separate development, joint US-Saudi airstrikes targeted pro-Iranian militia in seven provinces of Iraq, resulting in casualties.

The US military cited the airstrikes as a response to numerous attacks by pro-Iranian fighters in Iraq. The operation targeted terrorist logistics and weapons sites in eastern Iraq, retaliating against drone attacks by Iran-aligned groups.

The casualties from the joint US-Saudi attack were believed to be members of the Iraqi Popular Mobilisation Forces, initially formed in 2014. These forces, aligned with Iran, have a history of engaging with US and UK forces and combating extremist groups in Iraq.

Meanwhile, in Gaza, two Palestinians were killed and 29 others injured in recent violence. The ongoing conflict in the region has led to a significant number of deaths and injuries, with tensions escalating since the 2022 Hamas attacks on Israel.

The series of conflicts across the Middle East have complex origins, with various factions and countries becoming embroiled in escalating violence.
