Tesco has announced that over a million Clubcard members will receive complimentary ice lollies this week. The digital vouchers will be available in the Tesco app under the coupon section, featuring 11 different types of ice lollies. These vouchers can be redeemed in Tesco’s large stores and Express sites until midnight on July 1, excluding online purchases.
As part of its new promotion called “Freebie Thursdays,” Tesco is offering various coupons every Thursday to selected Clubcard members based on their shopping history. Previous freebies have included Walkers crisps and Tesco cookies.
In other news, Tesco has introduced a digital Clubcard for 16 and 17-year-olds, granting approximately 1.6 million younger customers access to Clubcard Prices deals for the first time. Normally, the Tesco Clubcard is only available to individuals above 18 years old. To sign up for the digital Clubcard, teenagers must receive an invitation from a parent or guardian’s Clubcard account.
Clubcard members earn points for every pound spent at Tesco stores or on fuel at Tesco forecourts. Points can also be accumulated through Tesco Bank and Tesco Mobile. The minimum requirement for a Clubcard voucher is 150 points, equivalent to £1.50 to spend at Tesco. Additionally, members can maximize the value of their vouchers by using them with Rewards Partners like Pizza Express, Alton Towers, or Hotels.com.
