“Taylor Swift Music Pulled from Trump’s Social Media”

Some Taylor Swift tracks have been taken down from social media videos shared by the U.S. President Donald Trump’s campaign and the White House. These videos had featured two of the popular singer’s songs in the past week. Both the White House and a representative for Swift did not provide immediate comments on this matter.

While Swift has not recently addressed Trump directly, she had previously endorsed his Democratic opponent, then Vice-President Kamala Harris, in 2024. During the 2020 election, Swift made her disapproval of Trump clear on social media, stating that she and others did not support him as president.

Trump has publicly criticized Swift several times. Following her endorsement of Harris, he expressed his dislike for Swift on social media. Additionally, Trump made comments suggesting Swift had lost popularity after he stated he disliked her.

Numerous artists, such as Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande, have requested the Trump administration to refrain from using their music in their content.

On the Trump campaign’s TikTok page, two Swift songs were featured over the last week. One video referenced Swift’s popular songs, including a caption mentioning “Red (Donald Trump’s Version).” In a separate video posted in June, Swift’s track “I Knew It, I Knew You” was used with the caption, “Nobody loves our country & the American People more than President Donald J Trump.”

This was not the first time the Trump administration utilized Swift’s music in their content. In a video posted in April, the White House included Swift’s song “High Infidelity.” Another TikTok video in November featured Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” from her album “The Life of a Showgirl.”

The posts featuring Swift’s music have sparked considerable reactions on social media. The White House spokesperson defended the videos, stating they were created to gain media attention. The Trump communications team frequently shares content on social media with popular songs, depicting various events like immigration policies, military actions, and political figures’ arrests.
