“Spanish footballer’s brother steals spotlight with viral celebration”

Spanish footballer Lamine Yamal’s younger brother, Keyne, captured hearts with his enthusiastic celebration during Spain’s World Cup match against Austria. Spain, the 2010 champions, advanced to the round of 16 with a convincing 3-0 victory in Los Angeles, courtesy of goals by Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro.

Although 18-year-old Yamal didn’t score, he posed a constant threat on the field. However, it was Keyne’s spirited support and “Vamos!” cheer after Spain’s third goal that resonated with fans worldwide.

A video of Keyne’s celebration went viral, garnering thousands of views online, with supporters admiring his genuine excitement. Fans praised the young boy’s passion, with one commenting, “Such a big fan of his brother,” while another remarked, “It’s the most Spanish ‘vamos’ I’ve ever seen.”

Yamal, who plays for Barcelona, expressed his emotional response to witnessing his brother’s joy, stating, “I feel emotional to see my brother happy. My mum is also happy with the life she always wanted. I love this. I am in love with my brother. He’s like a son to me.”

In a historic moment, Yamal and his Barcelona teammate Pau Cubarsí, 19, made history as the first teenagers to start a World Cup knockout match together since Brazil’s Pelé and José Altafini in 1958. Yamal’s impactful performance in the tournament includes a goal in Spain’s 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia, earning accolades from football personalities like Eden Hazard.

Hazard praised Yamal for his talent and charisma, drawing parallels to his own early career experiences. He expressed confidence in Yamal’s potential, stating, “He’s the kind of player people love to watch. That’s what football is all about, you have to enjoy yourself and make people dream.”
