Andrew Tate’s attorney revealed that the social media influencer continues to post messages online while incarcerated. The brothers, Andrew and Tristan, are facing extradition to the UK on charges of rape and sex trafficking. They will remain in jail for at least two more weeks until their next hearing, as decided by a federal judge.
US magistrate Lauren Louis scheduled a detention hearing for August 13 to determine whether the brothers should remain in custody or be released during the extradition process, which could take several months. Despite not being physically present in court, the Tates have been held in jail since their brief appearance following their arrest on July 18.
Andrew Tate has managed to communicate his thoughts from solitary confinement through his lawyers, who meet with him regularly to discuss his case. Attorney Joseph McBride mentioned that they interact with Andrew frequently and convey his messages to the outside world during their meetings.
Responding to claims that Andrew Tate has been posting while in jail, McBride clarified that Tate does not have access to a phone at the facility. He also addressed Tate’s assertion that his cellmate is a cannibal, referring to him as “Mr. Cannibal” and highlighting the disturbing behavior exhibited by the individual.
The Tates’ legal team expressed their request for the US government to provide the documents submitted by UK officials to support the brothers’ arrest in the US. Attorney Jackie Perczek emphasized that the Tates have consistently returned to Romania every month despite facing previous accusations there, demonstrating their lack of flight risk.
The brothers, known for their social media presence and support of Donald Trump, are adamant that the accusations against them are unfounded, with their lawyers asserting a lack of substantial evidence. Prosecutors in the UK have brought forth new charges based on evidence from police in Bedfordshire, expanding the scope of allegations against the brothers to include serious offenses spanning several years.
The Tates’ legal troubles date back to their time in the UK, where they were previously charged with various crimes related to sexual exploitation.
