Prince Harry is reportedly planning to visit Diana’s grave with his children, Archie and Lilibet, during their upcoming trip to the UK. Harry and Meghan Markle are set to visit the UK together for the first time in four years. The family is expected to attend an event in July commemorating the upcoming 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
During their stay, Harry is said to take his children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, to Althorp House to pay respects at Diana’s grave, coinciding with what would have been her 65th birthday. Diana’s burial site is located on an island at Althorp House, not accessible to the public. Harry, who was 12 when Diana passed away in 1997, has visited her grave multiple times and previously took Meghan there in 2022.
The family’s itinerary includes visits to Birmingham and London for the Invictus events, aligning with the closure of Althorp Estate to visitors on July 10 and 11. Harry’s late mother’s birthday falls on July 1, adding significance to the timing of their visit. The estate is owned by Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, where Harry has previously stayed and even mentioned the emotional experience of introducing Meghan to Diana’s grave in his autobiography.
As preparations for the UK visit progress, it has been revealed that King Charles has offered royal accommodations for Harry, Meghan, and their children due to security concerns. Harry has reportedly accepted the offer to stay at Buckingham Palace and is expected to meet with King Charles during their stay. Sources suggest that a meeting between the King and the family would signify a positive development in their relationship, showcasing the King’s affection for his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
