“P&O Cruises: Essential Cruise Card Key to Cashless System”

P&O Cruises recommends that passengers always carry a crucial item with them to prevent potential travel delays or issues. According to P&O Cruises’ FAQ, guests are not required to bring cash on board but are advised to have their cruise card on hand at all times. This card serves multiple purposes beyond just making payments.

The cruise line emphasizes that all onboard expenses are in British pounds and operates on a cashless system. Passengers’ spending money is loaded onto their cruise card upon embarkation, and any additional purchases can be made using the card and settled at Reception upon departure.

The cruise card serves as a key to accommodation, an ID for embarking and disembarking the ship, and a payment method for all onboard purchases. P&O Cruises’ ships are cash-free environments, ensuring that no cash is necessary during the holiday.

Onboard spending money can be utilized for various activities and amenities, while tipping is not required as excellent service is already included in the cruise experience.

The fleet comprises various ships, with the largest ones, Arvia and Iona, being 344 meters long with 15 guest decks and a capacity of up to 5,200 guests and 1,800 crew. The smallest ship, Aurora, is 270 meters long, features nine decks, and accommodates around 1,874 guests and 850 crew.
