“Nine Hospitalized in Incident at Jesse Gray Primary School”

Nine individuals were hospitalized following a response by emergency services to an incident at Jesse Gray Primary School in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. The incident, which occurred at approximately 2:17 pm on Wednesday, prompted the arrival of police cars and ambulances on the scene. The specific nature of the incident remains unclear.

Initially, reports from police and a local council member indicated that two students had been taken to the hospital. However, East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) later confirmed that a total of nine patients were transported to the Queen’s Medical Centre.

According to a spokesperson, the emergency call described a medical situation, leading to the dispatch of various medical resources including paramedics, ambulances, and a hazardous area response team. Additionally, an air ambulance responder was present on-site during the incident.

Councillor Jonathan Wheeler, representing West Bridgford South at the county council, mentioned being contacted by concerned residents who observed a significant number of ambulances outside the school. He reassured the public that only a few students had been taken to the hospital for precautionary checks, with parents duly informed and respecting their privacy.

Social media users expressed surprise at the substantial emergency service presence at the school. Nottinghamshire Police stated that the incident is not of a criminal nature, with officers present in a supportive capacity at the scene.
