A male suspect, Edward Holden, aged 36, from Alexandra Place in Penzance, has been accused of committing rape and murder following the tragic death of an elderly woman near Helston. The victim was discovered at a residence in Ashton on Friday, May 29. Holden has been taken into custody and is scheduled to appear at Truro Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 1, as reported by Cornwall Live.
