“Glasgow Gang Retaliates: Car Driven into Crime Family Residence and Set Ablaze Again”

An apparent act of retaliation by a gang resulted in a car being driven into a residence associated with a well-known crime family and set on fire, marking the second such incident this year.

The incident occurred in the Barlanark area of Glasgow in the early hours of Thursday, June 18. Emergency services responded to the scene as flames spread from the vehicle to the front door of the end-of-terrace house.

According to The Daily Record, the targeted house has ties to a relative of a member of a prominent local crime syndicate. The same property was previously attacked in February when a car was driven into its side.

Sources informed The Record that the incident was in retaliation for a recent firebomb attack on a business connected to an associate of a mob boss in Edinburgh. They stated that this act of revenge was aimed at high-ranking members of the criminal organization.

Photographs from the scene depict a white Nissan Juke engulfed in flames outside the residence. The burnt-out vehicle used to ram the property is also visible, with debris scattered across the garden.

The car had collided with the living room’s double window, leaving the panel and glass destroyed. Scorch marks were evident on the brickwork above the window.

Authorities have cordoned off the property and blocked access to the street. Reportedly, two individuals were spotted parking on a nearby street an hour before the assault.

A resident mentioned observing a vehicle parked in the vicinity before the attack, with individuals discussing the presence of petrol. Subsequently, a loud crash was heard as the car was driven into the house, followed by the perpetrators throwing a petrol bomb inside and fleeing.

In a separate incident last month, a skip lorry was driven into the home of a young gang member in Edinburgh linked to Scotland’s drug conflict.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed responding to a fire at the Glasgow property on the mentioned date, with no injuries reported. Fire crews left the scene after ensuring safety measures were in place.
