The cast for Season 35 of the popular TV show, “Dancing With The Stars,” has been officially revealed. A diverse group of celebrities, including familiar faces such as Maura Higgins, Ciara Miller, Jackson Olson, and Guillermo Rodriguez, are set to trade in their usual jobs for a chance at the coveted mirror-ball trophy.
The announcement, made on “Good Morning America,” introduced twelve additional stars to the lineup, including actress Julia Stiles and “The Rookie” star Jenna Dewan. The cast features a mix of Hollywood heavyweights, social media personalities, athletes like an Olympian and Paralympian, as well as unique participants like Savannah Bananas exhibition baseball player Jackson Olson.
The show, available on Disney+ in Canada, is set to premiere with two episodes on Sept. 15 and 16. Each celebrity contestant has been paired with a professional dancer for the competition, such as Tatyana Ali with Jan Ravnik, Tyler Cameron with Sharna Burgess, and Giada De Laurentiis with Alan Bersten.
Fans on social media have expressed varying opinions about the lineup, especially noting the dance background of some contestants like Jenna Dewan and Harry Shum Jr. Despite some reservations, others have shown excitement, particularly for Julia Stiles’ participation in the show.
This season will introduce some new elements, including the winner of “Dancing With The Stars: The Next Pro,” Adele Zaikman, joining as a professional dancer. Additionally, Hailey Bills will become a pro dancer after being a troupe member last season, creating a unique family connection as the niece of pro dancer Jenna Johnson.
