Car crashes into Nottingham flat; residents evacuated.

Residents were instructed to evacuate an apartment building following a car crashing into a ground-floor flat late last night. Emergency services quickly responded to the incident at the intersection of Arkwright Way and Meadows Way in Nottingham between 9pm and 10pm on Friday.

Images from the scene at Ryehill House flats in The Meadows depict a green BMW that has collided into an apartment, seemingly entering through a kitchen. The front of the vehicle is entirely inside the building, and nearby, a street sign appears to have been knocked over, causing brick debris, glass, and foliage to litter the area.

Authorities have cordoned off the area, with police officers stationed at the crash site this morning. The four-storey flat complex is situated near a busy dual carriageway linking the city to West Bridgeford, as reported by Nottingham Post.

An officer at the scene informed that residents residing in the three flats above the damaged apartment were advised to evacuate due to potential structural issues. One resident in a different ground-floor flat recounted being awakened by a loud noise and discovering a new garage outside, questioning how it ended up there from the road.
