Iran has issued a strong warning to the United States, demanding the cessation of the American naval blockade, or else face significant risks and casualties. The ultimatum came in response to a threat from US President Donald Trump, who gave the Tehran regime a final opportunity to end the conflict.
Senior military advisor Mohsen Rezaei from Tehran delivered the cautionary message following reports indicating that US forces were running low on long-range weapons after months of intense warfare, during which they targeted over 13,000 sites in Iran. The depletion of large quantities of weaponry and explosives has been a consequence of the extensive attacks.
According to the reports, the US military has reportedly exhausted its supply of surface-to-surface weapons, such as Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM), essential for stand-off attacks to minimize the risk of retaliation. Additionally, there were allegations that the US had carried out a strike on a drone manufacturing facility in Shamsabad Industrial Town, located in the south of Iran.
Furthermore, there are claims that land-based weapons stockpiles have been supplemented by repurposing arms from various US bases worldwide, leading to a reduction in US military firepower globally. The dwindling supplies of offensive and defensive weapons, including Patriot missiles in the Gulf States, are posing challenges for the US in maintaining its engagement in the prolonged conflict with Iran.
Despite reports of a potential shortage of missiles, the White House, through a statement from Trump, refuted the claims, asserting that the US possesses an abundance of munitions surpassing any other nation. The statement emphasized ongoing efforts by defense companies to ramp up production levels to meet the demand for weapons.
Recent developments have indicated a surge in US military activity in the Middle East, with heightened readiness observed in terms of aircraft, naval vessels, weaponry, and ground defenses. While Qatar has indicated progress in resolving the US-Iran conflict, citing a circulating draft agreement, direct negotiations between Washington and Tehran have yet to materialize, despite Trump’s assertions to the contrary.
